Donald M. White, 80, of Winter Garden, Florida passed away on July 21, 2017, surrounded by his family at home in Winter Garden, Florida.
Donald was born on August 24, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of the late David and Etta (Steele) White.
Donald was raised in Utah, and attended college at the University of Utah. He also attended Howard Taft University to complete his Law degree.
Donald met his loving wife, Carolyn, in church in 1965, 6 months later they were married for 52 loving years. Donald and Carolyn were married in the Manti Utah Temple on July 16, 1965.
Donald had many achievements throughout his life, he was in the Utah National Guard, played Basketball for Utah State University and played Baseball for the University of Utah. He continued to play on a Semi-Pro Minor League Baseball team in Canada. He was an undergraduate from University of Utah. He served a 2 ½ year mission to Finland. He received his Juris Doctorate Degree in Law. He was a Coach for the youth in Baseball and Basketball. He was a Scout Master and a High Priest Group Leader. Donald was also a President of Western National Mutual Insurance Company and CPCU Insurance Association.
His nickname was Chipper Don. People always looked to him and always would feel happy and cheerful when around him.
Besides his wife, Carolyn, Donald is survived by four children, three sons, Michael White, Patrick White, Marcus White, and one daughter Jennifer White. Three sisters, Nancy Strong (Dick), Carol Hadlock, and Teri Dietz (Tony) and one brother, Robert White.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents David and Etta White and one brother, David White.
Services for Donald will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Windermere located at 13749 Reams Road, Windermere, FL 34786, on Thursday, July 27th, 2017 with a visitation from 10:00AM to 11:00AM, and a service following at 11:00AM.
