Alynne Marie Carter passed away July 5, 2016. She was born on November 8, 1940 to Clarence and Jeanette Shear in Oneida, New York.
She is survived by her daughters Kristin Mesmin and Candi Shelton (Gary); five grandchildren: Lisa Aubry, Daniel Aubry, David Aubry, Jonathan Aubry and Kelvin Mesmin; three great-grandchildren: Dylan Aubry, Jin Mesmin and Kai Mesmin.
Lynne and her family moved from New York when she was a child, she graduated from Boone High School in Orlando, FL. When she was younger she worked at Orlando Regional Medical Center taking X-Rays. She always lit up when she talked about her time working there. Lynne truly enjoyed helping people.
Cooking was one of the many favorite things Lynne loved to do. Most of her life she was a homemaker. She was always cooking new recipes, you could even say she had a bit of a cook book obsession. Lynne almost had more cook books in her pantry than she did food.
Lynne also had a love for animals and did she ever. Whether it was a skunk for her daughter named Flower or a cow named Mr. Moo or even a lamb named Chloe, oh we can't forget the ferrets Snowflake and Bandit, Lynne had a heart for animals no matter what the type. Her last three loves were her dogs Onyx and Beau and a cat named MJ.
Many of her favorite things to do throughout her life was travel with her (late) husband Richard "Dick" Carter. They loved to travel with their family and friends to many places, skiing in North Carolina at their cabin in the mountains or taking a cruise are a few examples. That was a time for them to make memories and enjoy life. They did that with a passion and were the happiest on vacation.
Lynne always wanted people to feel welcomed and loved. She was a joy to be around and always had a smile on her face. Lynne had a zest for life. She was the heartbeat and soul of their family.
To imagine a life without her is very hard when you have had the pleasure of having her in your life. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. We take comfort in knowing that she will be greeted in heaven by those who passed before her.
